the photobook by gregoire grange is called ‘not in that particular order’, which is a nice title. and a nice photobook.
after i grabbed the picture (thanks to francesca colussi for the tip), i noticed that the title is mirroring not only the sequence of images in the book, but also the bookmarks and tabs that appeared with my act of stealing. i decided to kept the whole.
latest headlines, press this, wikipedia (of course).
personal (u-uh), share on tumblr (didn’t remember this; it must have installed itself when i open the account for this blog. cheeky), babel fish translation (not so good actually; much better wordreference.com though it translates only words not phrases).
import to mendeley (serious staff), radio 3 fahrenheit (clue for my roots), internet archive (well, if one ever gets stuck…)
the rest of bookmarks are undisclosed (luckily). if you’re wondering what’s the tab saying ‘journalism in the age of data:…’, i can tell you is very cool. not as cool as the mountains below though.
especially in good company.
from andrea botto:
mi permetto di inviarti una mia immagine, rappresentativa di una certa idea di montagna. in questo caso le dolomiti, sempre più parco tematico.
non so che ciò sia un bene o un male. di certo è molto stimolante dal punto di vista visivo.
translated:
i take the liberty to send you this image of mine, representative of a certain idea of mountain. in this case the dolomites, more and more a thematic park.
i cannot say if this is good or bad. for sure is visually very stimulating.
UNTITLED is a thematic blog of obsessions (or more professionally said, investigations) into a particular topic, either visual, textual or aural. topics will vary in time but only after thorough research and long-term commitment. (investigation is a serious business, i would never waste my and your time with superficial info. almost.) we kick off with mountains. feel free to share this journey; it’s a mix bag of fun, thoughts and cross-disciplinary communication. most of the material is appropriated from press, broadcast or online sources, some is mine. if I have the source, I’ll tell you, or link. if not, either because i kept the cut-out or clip for too many years, forgot to copy the author’s name, or simply couldn’t find out, i'll leave it blank. if it’s yours, do drop me a line. nothing is immortal anyway. enjoy, alfredo :)
